You may not need to dump your hard
earned money on the city's landfills, by means of dumping your old TV,
and having to go out and buy new ones. There will be millions of
people all over the US buying new TVs without realizing that
they did not needed to upgrade. Not everyone will need an upgrade, but
most retailers don't know or will not say that to a buying customer.
You do not need a new television if your TV is presently connected to
Cable or Satellite. Your old Television or analog TV will not be able
to pick up a signal through its antenna after February 17, 2009. But
most consumers have their TVs connected to Cable or Satellite, and
therefore you will not loose your picture. You may also keep your old
TV to be used with a VCR or DVD player, a game consol, or even use
them as security monitors. The point is that you may not need to go
out and spend money right away, unless you want to buy that new $2,000
dollar flat screen TV. Keep your old TV and preserve our natural
resources and reduce pollution at the landfills, and by all means if
you feel the need to dump your old TV don't dump it in the trash, you
can call us or take it to one of the city's recycling centers. For
